The Petra Boutique Studios

The Petra Boutique Studios is an apartment in Chalok Baan Kao, Koh Tao, 250 m from Chalok Baan Kao Beach, with private terraces and mountain and city views.

Both apartment types accommodate up to two people and have a separate bedroom and living room, a private bathroom, air conditioning and soundproof walls. Their kitchenettes include a refrigerator, microwave and tea- and coffee-making facilities; dining areas and flat-screen TVs with streaming services complete the indoor setup. The 30 m² Classic One-Bedroom Apartment with King Bed and the 40 m² Studio Apartment with King Bed share these main features, with the latter offering more floor space. Balconies, patios and terraces provide outdoor space.

Free WiFi and free private parking are available. The on-site restaurant serves Thai, international and European dishes, with vegetarian and vegan choices; à la carte breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner are available. The two types have a similar arrangement, with their floor area the clearest difference.

The Petra Boutique Studios stands in Chalok Baan Kao, the quieter village on Koh Tao’s south bay, where dive resorts and small restaurants line the coast. Chalok Baan Kao Beach is 250 m away, while Ao Chalok Ban Kao is 550 m from the apartments. Shark Bay Beach lies 600 m away and is associated with shallow-water sightings of blacktip reef sharks and turtles. The village setting gives you access to the southern shoreline and its swimming and snorkelling spots.

Koh Tao has no airport, so visitors arrive by ferry at Mae Haad on the west coast. Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 1.7 km from the apartments; from Mae Haad, local pick-up truck taxis can take you south to Chalok Baan Kao, and scooters are another way to travel between the island’s villages. Free private parking is available on site. Ferry connections serve Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Chumphon, while rough seas can disrupt sailings, particularly from November to January.

Sun Suwan Viewpoint is 700 m away, and Ao Thian is 650 m from the property. Freedom Beach is 800 m away; nearby coves and reefs make snorkelling and diving popular activities around this part of the island. Chalok Baan Kao is quieter than Sairee, Koh Tao’s main strip, and the island has more than 25 dive sites and dozens of dive schools. February to April is generally the driest, calmest period; October to December is wetter and rougher, with greater potential for ferry disruption.
